The Zamfara State Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has unanimously voted by all contesting political parties to elect new executives to lead the party’s affairs.
The election was duly conducted at the INEC headquarters in Gusau, under close supervision by the IPAC headquarters officials led by the National Chairman, who was represented by the National Organising Secretary, Bashar Bala, said the keen contest was calm and peaceful.
Political parties under the Zamfara state IPAC have unanimously voted for Suleiman Bungudu of Allied People’s Movement (APM) to emerge as the winner as the new Chairman, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Bangaje of SDP as Deputy Chairman, while Hon. Bashar Abdullahi of Accord Party emerged as Secretary in the state.
Part of the composition of the newly chosen executives was Mr Paul Ezeanya of Action Alliance (AA), who emerged as Treasurer, Mamuda Garba of People’s Redemption Party (PRP) as legal adviser, while Kabiru Garba of ADC was elected as Public Relations Officer.
The newly elected executives will serve for a period of two years and were sworn in by the Zamfara INEC head of litigation and prosecution, Barrister Abdulkarim Shehu Bello.
Delivering his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Suleiman Bungudu, has pledged to run an all-inclusive administration, assuring to run the affairs according to the constitution of IPAC without fear or favour.
“My doors would remain open for all to pay expected contributions towards taking the IPAC to the colourful destination, and I would carry every member for our successes to be achieved, and I welcome lucrative suggestions and advice from any member”. Bungudu has assured.
