Ajose Purchases APC Gov’Ship Form, Ignores Consensus


Samuel Ajose, an aspirant for the Lagos State governorship under the All Progressives Congress (APC) has obtained the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms worth ₦50 million.

Ajose secured the forms in Abuja shortly after the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), alongside Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other party leaders, endorsed Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat as the preferred candidate for the APC ticket.

Despite the consensus move, Ajose maintained that his ambition is driven by a commitment to service and a vision for inclusive development across Lagos State.

In a statement shared via his verified X handle, he said: “I have officially picked up my nomination and expression of interest forms, taking a definitive step forward in my aspiration to serve as Governor of Lagos State on the platform of our great party, the APC.”

Ajose further emphasised that his decision reflects a broader goal of ensuring development reaches all parts of the state.

“My resolve is rooted in service, anchored in a clear vision, and driven by one conviction: that Lagos deserves development which reaches every community, creates real opportunities for its people, and leaves no one behind.”

He concluded by expressing confidence in his journey and the support of Lagos residents:

“I begin this journey with humility, courage, and complete faith in God and in the good people of Lagos. Together, we are building something this state will be proud of.”
