Prudential Zenith Life & Lagos Food Bank Tackle Hunger

Prudential Zenith Life Insurance has partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to provide essential food aid to underserved households in Lagos.

The collaboration reinforces the insurer’s commitment to delivering real-world impact and supporting community wellbeing.

As part of the outreach, over 50 staff volunteers from Prudential Zenith Life joined the LFBI team to distribute food boxes containing essential household groceries to over 200 recipients.

Speaking at the event, Head of Human Resources at Prudential Zenith Life, Doyinsola Atanda-Obalakun, emphasised the importance of showing up for communities in practical ways.

“At Prudential Zenith Life, we believe sustainability goes beyond policy and strategy. It is about people; it is about showing up where it matters and making a real difference in others’ lives,” Atanda-Obalakun stated.

She further noted that the partnership serves a dual purpose of physical aid and emotional support: “Partnering with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative allows us to support families with dignity and remind them that they are not alone.”

The initiative reflects Prudential Zenith Life’s broader focus on sustainability and social impact, aligning its business values with measurable contributions to society. By empowering employees to participate directly in community outreach, the company continues to foster a culture where purpose and performance go hand in hand.

Through these on-the-ground social impact initiatives, Prudential Zenith Life continues to strengthen community resilience, fulfilling its promise as a trusted partner and protector for the people it serves.

Prudential Zenith Life Insurance has positioned itself not just as a subsidiary of Prudential Plc, a global leader in life insurance, but also as an insurer. This connects the local Lagos event to a global mandate of Corporate Social Responsibility and long-term sustainability.

LFBI identifies them as Nigeria’s first indigenous food bank; highlighting their track record of tackling hunger and malnutrition through a network of over 20,000 volunteers helps explain why Prudential chose them as a technical partner.
