Okeke Declares For Nnewi North Constituency Seat

A frontline aspirant of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for Nnewi North State Constituency election, Hon. Celestine Uzochukwu Okeke, has expressed his interest to represent Nnewi North in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Hon. Okeke, a legal practitioner, made the declaration on Monday, April 19, in Otolo Nnewi, in the presence of Nnewi North leaders, political stakeholders and representatives of the 10 wards in Nnewi North local government area.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Okeke told the gathering that he called to tell them of his intention to contest for the position in order to offer good representation to his people.

He reminded the people of the importance of electing a lawyer, who will have the competence, vigour and career match to offer good representation.

“Nnewi North needs representation, to be able to project the interest of the people at the state assembly. In the past, Nnewi North had people that repwhonted them at this level; but this time around, we need a person of character, competence and career match, to be able to bring dividends of democracy to Nnewi North constituents.

“Most constituencies in Anambra State send lawyers to represent them because of a career match. Every civilised community send lawyers to represent them. You cannot compare a lawyer and a non-lawyer in legislative performance.

“I feel and believe that I’m the best candidate for the Nnewi North House of Assembly seat. I have the competence, the career match and the youthful vigour,” he said.
