Osun Women Stage Rally In Support Of Oyebamiji

Over 2,000 women from three Osun local government areas have staged a rally in the hometown of Chief Bisi Akande, Ila-Orangun, in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) and a House of Representatives hopeful, Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin(AIO), ahead of the 2026/2027 elections.

The women from Boluwaduro, Ifedayo and Ila-Orangun councils converged at the family house of Akande and marched through Ile-Obalumon, Oke-Ede, Complex, Oja, Ita Aperin, Ajegunle, Ile Obasolo, Ile Oloye, Ile-Aseda and Afin.

The women’s group under the aegis of AIO’s Women, led by its coordinator, Mrs Tawakalt Suleiman, was joined by the Ila Federal Constituency House of Reps hopeful, Hon. Adeniyi, at the palace of the Orangun of Ila, and they marched for 10.3KM in company with security operatives who maintain law and order.

Speaking about the solidarity walk, Mrs Suleiman explained that “We decided to come together from Ila, Boluwaduro, and Ifedayo councils, who decided to canvass support for President Bola Tinubu, APC guber candidate, AMBO and our own, Hon Adeniyi Ismail.

“We have been engaging the electorate on a door-to-door campaign, and we have been mobilising new voters for the Continuous Voters Registration(CVR), which came to an end yesterday(Saturday). This rally is to solidify our commitment to APC.”

Similarly, Adeniyi, while addressing the women group at the APC secretariat, boasted that “with the massive mobilisation of new electorate for CVR and door-to-door campaign by youths and women, we are sure that APC will win this federal constituency landslide.”

He held that “the people in these three councils are tired of the incumbent government of Osun State, they are anticipating the progressive administration that will be elected on August 15th 2026.”

Adeniyi urged the women to continue the door-to-door campaign in their respective polling units, wards, and local areas, assuring them of providing every needed logistics to make the exercise successful.
