People in Ondo South are seeking improved infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic development of their communities in order to tackle poverty and unemployment among the youth.
One of the leaders in the area, Mr. Sunday Babatope, explained on Friday that the area needs new infrastructure and improved welfare in all the communities.
According to him, Ondo South includes Okitipupa, Irele, Ese Odo, Odigbo, Ilaje, and Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo, saying that despite its oilrich coastline, the state had failed to unlock its economic potential and address development challenges. He therefore advocated for a change that would take Ondo South to new heights.
Babatope stressed that this was the reason the people of Oke-Igbo and other communities in Ondo South Senatorial District were advising people to vote for Mathew Oye Oyerinmade as their next representative in the Senate in the forthcoming bye-election to replace Senator Jimoh Ibrahim.
Babatope described Oyerinmade as a man of proven integrity and dedication, noting his long-standing efforts in empowering young people across the district.
According to him, Oyerinmade’s consistent investment in youth development and community support over the years had earned him widespread respect and trust, noting that his passion for economic growth and grassroots development had made him a strong candidate capable of delivering meaningful progress.
Babatope added: “MA- TO’s leadership style is built on the principles of inclusivity, transparency, and accountability. He understands the needs and aspirations of our people and has a clear plan to address them.
