Again, Fayose Alleges Plot Against Olubadan By Makinde

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has once again alleged that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde is orchestrating moves to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan, Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, amid rising tensions between the state government and the traditional institution.

Fayose made the claim in a statement on Tuesday, calling on members of the public to follow the events as they unfolding.

His statement comes amid indications of a rift between the governor and the revered monarch.

According to Fayose, earlier denials of any disagreement between the Olubadan and Governor Makinde were misleading, insisting that recent developments suggest otherwise.

The former governor further alleged that individuals aligned with the state government are now accusing the Olubadan of plotting to impeach the governor, as well as making claims of partisanship against the monarch.

Fayose described these actions as part of a broader strategy to justify possible disciplinary measures against the traditional ruler, including queries over alleged political bias.

As of the time of reporting, the Oyo State Government has not issued an official response to Fayose’s allegations.
