Nigerian Afrobeats singer Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has opened up about his prior struggles with mental health, attributing them to demands from his family and the music business.
Crayon made this revelation when he appeared in a recent live stream anchored by content creator Carter Efe.
Speaking during the Live programme, the singer noted that extreme stress caused him to be admitted to the hospital for treatment.

He clarified that in 2022, he found it difficult to balance the obligations of his family and his career, which negatively impacted his mental health.
Crayon claimed that following rehabilitation, he recorded the well-known songs “Ijo Labalaba” and “Overloading.”
He said, “In 2022, I had mental health issues from all sorts of stress; family, industry, trying to be number one stress.
“I was hospitalised for a long therapy session, then I came out and dropped Labalaba and Overloading.”
