USD Leaders, Stakeholders Endorse Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno


The leaders and stakeholders of Uyo Senatorial District Forum ( USD) comprising nine Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State met on Thursday at Ibom hall and unanimously endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno for second term in office.

The group led by Senator Effiong Bob, in the well attended event, pass resounding Vote of Confidence on all the three leaders, affirming thier total trust in their capacity, competence, integrity, and commitment to deliver greater dividends of democracy to Nigerians and the people of Akwa Ibom State.

According to their resolution which was further endorsed by Obong Umana Okon Umana former Minister of Nigerdelta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang, Nigeria Ambassador to South Africa and Prince Enobong Uwah, Secretary to Akwa Ibom ibom government, “We pledge our unwavering loyalty and commitment to mobilize massively across all wards, chapters, and Local Government Areas within Uyo Senatorial District to ensure overwhelming electoral victory for the President and the Governor in the 2027 general elections.

“We will also work with our kith and kin who are resident in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District to join hands with the rest of the Senatorial district to ensure the re-election of Senator Godswill Akpabio”.

The group expressed thier readiness to align with all political, organizational, and campaign strategies within the District to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President and the ARISE Agenda of the Governor, ensuring synergy, coherence, and maximum impact.

They further highlighted, “This historic endorsement represents not only our appreciation of proven leadership but also our firm belief in continuity, stability, and progressive governance.

“We stand united, resolute, and determined to ensure that the mandate of continuity is secured through the ballot in 2027.

They recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has under the Renewed Hope Agenda, repositioned Nigeria’s economic trajectory, strengthened democratic institutions, and restored global confidence in the Nigerian State

“We recognize the bold economic reforms, infrastructural expansion, social investment policies, and decisive governance initiatives undertaken by Mr. President, which have set Nigeria firmly on the path of sustainable growth, national cohesion, and long-term prosperity;

“We identify with the exemplary leadership that His Excellency, Senator Godswill Akpabio has brought to the legislative arm of government as President of the Senate, which has led to a very harmonious working relationship between the National Assembly and the Executive arm of government at the federal level and served as a catalyst to the achievements of the President Bola Tinubu administration,

“We further commend the sterling performance of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D, whose Administration, guided by the ARISE Agenda, has transformed Akwa Ibom State through purposeful leadership, impactful governance and people-centered policies;

“We affirm that these outstanding performances have directly impacted the socio-economic wellbeing of all Nigerians at large and the people of Uyo Senatorial District and Akwa Ibom State in particular”
