A rainstorm on Tuesday, April 7, destroyed one of the three bus terminals built by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) at Kugbo, Abuja.
According to an eyewitness account, the heavy rainstorm, which started around 3.30 pm, blew away the roof of the terminal.
While security agencies were said to be battling to prevent scavengers from looting the remains, the particles that were blown into the express were also said to have caused heavy traffic on both sides of the dual carriageways.
Scavengers who defied the downpour, and security agencies were also said to be having a field day, carting away valuable parts of the destroyed roof and other accessories which littered the road.
