The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Zuru, has reportedly passed away, New Telegraph reports
Zuru passing was confirmed in a statement issued by an official of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Murtala Diri, on his official Facebook page.
Zuru, who represented the Zuru Constituency, served as Speaker of the 10th Assembly and was widely regarded as a key political figure within the Zuru Emirate.

He reportedly died on Monday evening, April 6, in Cairo, where he had been receiving medical treatment.
“The death of the Speaker is a significant loss to his constituents, the legislative body, and the state in general,” the statement said.
Further details regarding burial arrangements and official condolences are expected to be announced by the Kebbi State Government and the family of the deceased.
