Obiogbolu Pledges Access Roads To Anambra Food Basket

Senatorial aspirant for Anambra North District under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr Alex Obiogbolu, has pledged to attract access roads to the food-producing areas in the District.

Obiogbolu, who was in Ayamelum Local Government Area as part of his consultative meetings ahead of the party’s primary elections next month, noted that apart from the access roads, he would also assist local farmers with the basic enablers aimed at ensuring all-year-round farming in Anambra North District.

Speaking with reporters shortly after a consultative meeting in Ayamelum LGA recently, Dr Obiogbolu emphasised a results-driven approach focused on agriculture, education, and critical infrastructure as his strategic development plan for the Anambra North Senatorial zone.

He pledged to improve access to farming inputs, develop internal farm roads, and strengthen the agricultural value chain to boost productivity and rural incomes.

“Representation must be purposeful,” he said. “It is about identifying real challenges and pursuing solutions that improve lives. Our people deserve better. They need policies that translate into opportunities, especially for farmers, traders, and workers.

He further assured strong collaboration with both federal and state governments to ensure that the promises of the Renewed Hope and Solution Agenda translate into visible development for the people.

He highlighted education support, expansion of road and water transportation, improvement in healthcare delivery, electricity supply, and strengthening security across the zone as some of the major areas of strategic partnership with the federal and state governments.

He also stressed targeted programmes for youth and women development as central to inclusive growth. According to him, representation must be practical, impactful, and focused on meeting the real needs of the people.
