Ogun State Government has empowered several Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with grants, free business name and product registrations to mitigate the effects of economic hardship occasioned by fuel subsidy removal on their businesses.
Also several participants at the event, themed: ” Empowering Businesses, Shaping the Future,” received N50,000 grant each while 50 entrepreneurs had their business name registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and products registered with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for free.
Both business and products registration of the participants were paid for by the State Government at the third edition of MSME Business Clinic held at the June 12 Cultural Center, Abeokuta, the state capital.
The Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Adebola Sofela, said the Dapo Abiodun-led administration recognised the critical role played by the small business owners in wealth creation.
