Sokoto Gov Attends Funeral Prayer Of Wamakko’s Security Aide


Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu was among hundreds of Muslim faithful who attended the funeral prayer of late Sani Dangwaggo, a security aide to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (aka Jaman), who passed away last Saturday evening.

Late Sani Dangwaggo, a retired police officer, who served as security aide to Wamakko, died at the age of 58 in a hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.

The deceased, who voluntarily retired from the Nigeria Police Force in early 2018 with the rank of Inspector, died on Saturday at a private hospital in Abuja after a brief illness. He was survived by two wives, seven children and his aged mother.

The funeral prayer, led by the Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Jumu’at Mosque, Sheikh Malami Bello Akwara, took place at the residence of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko along Sahabi Dange Road in the Gawon Nama area of Sokoto.
