Collins Ifeanyi: Celebrating AMAN@30

The president of Artiste Managers Association in Nigeria (AMAN), Collins Ifeanyi Onwuneme Ajereh Enebeli alias Mavin Grandpa Worldwide (MGW) has counted the many contributions and achievements of AMAN to the progress of Nigeria’s entertainment industry noting that Nigerian artiste managers have gained much respect in past few years.

In counting these achievements during the week at a media parley to herald AMAN @ 30 anniversary celebration and Awards, Mavin Grandpa Worldwide (MGW) emphasised the solid role AMAN has played in Nigerian entertainment culture in three decades of its existence in “bridging the gap between entertainment stars and those who work behind the scenes to project emerging talents”.

He said “In 30 years, AMAN aside, first of all galvanising all artiste managers across Nigeria together has also given them the opportunity of sharing ideas and keeping the relationship between artistes and their managers intact.

“AMAN has been at the forefront in ensuring that it connects the emerging talents with successful artistes ensuring a healthy relationship between artistes and their wards because only when two work together that there is progress.

Many initiatives of AMAN like industry networking tours of different organisations and meeting with successful individuals and icons in the industry further exposes members to the creative industries first hand.

According Mavin Grandpa Worldwide “the exposure provided by AMAN as an organisation to its registered members gives them beneficial insights into the inner workings of the creative industry’’

Going further, he stated that “part of AMAN’s objectives was to set up a reward system through which talents are publicly recognised and rewarded for excellence.”

The AMAN awards is designed to recognise, appreciate, and reward hard work and excellence within the creative industries in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.

We did this successfully in 2023 when the maiden edition of the AMAN awards was held.”
