Atalanta deserved to beat Stuttgart – Lookman – The Sun Nigeria

By Seyi Babalola

Ademola Lookman feels Atalanta deserved to defeat Stuttgart in Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League match.

La Dea trounced their opponents 2-0 to continue their outstanding run of form.

Lookman and Zaniolo scored both goals for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team.

The Nigerian international said they were happy with their performance in the game.

“We had a positive first half. We created dangerous moments in the game, so (the aim was to) just keep doing what we were doing,” the winger told Uefa.com.

“We knew the chances would come and we took them. We’re happy with the three points and we’ll keep going.”

Lookman has eight goals and five assists in 13 appearances across all competitions for Atalanta this season.
