Wemy Industries Targets Export Growth at IATF Trade Fair

Wemy Industries has announced plans to leverage the Intra-African Trade Fair as part of its strategy to expand export opportunities and strengthen its footprint across African markets.

In a statement, it was noted that Wemy Industries, the makers of Dr Brown’s and Nightingale products, exhibited for the first time at the prestigious Intra-Africa Trade Fair 2025.

It stated, “The event, organised by Afreximbank in partnership with the African Union, brought together business leaders, manufacturers, policymakers, and investors from across Africa and beyond. Countries including DRC, Gabon, Ghana, Mali, Italy, Ethiopia, Chad, Senegal, and Nigeria were represented, creating a platform for collaboration and exchange.

“The fair opened with a ceremony attended by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, Prime Minister Terrance Drew of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Nigeria’s Minister of Trade and Finance, Jumoke Oduwole, among others. Wemy Industries was represented at the event by Paul Odunaiya, MD/CEO; Adeola Oyeyipo, Sales Director; Nathalie Senaya, Export Development Manager; and Richard Okegbola, Deputy Export Development Manager. Together, the team showcased Wemy’s commitment to connecting with the African market and expanding access to high-quality, affordable healthcare and hygiene products.

“Participating at IATF 2025 marks a defining moment for Wemy Industries as we proudly showcase our African innovations on an international platform,” said Doris Sulieman, PR and Communications Manager at Wemy Industries. “This opportunity has allowed us to engage with key stakeholders who share our vision for growth, quality, and accessibility across diverse African markets.”

The statement noted that the exhibition went beyond product displays; it was about building meaningful relationships and forging partnerships.

It added, “Wemy’s delegation engaged with potential distributors, partners, and investors, laying the foundation for strategic collaborations that will drive expansion and deliver value to consumers across the continent. With networking opportunities, groundbreaking conversations, and promising collaborations, IATF 2025 reinforced Wemy’s mission to provide reliable and accessible solutions through its Dr Brown’s and Nightingale brands.

“Looking ahead, Wemy is excited for the next chapter: The 2027 Intra-Africa Trade Fair will take place in Lagos, Nigeria, offering a homecoming moment for Wemy Industries to welcome the global community to its own backyard.

“For any business that is interested in exporting to other African countries, the IATF is a must to attend; it’s one of the biggest fairs we’ve ever attended, and it’s also very impactful. It’s a cost-effective way of reaching multiple countries at one go. We’re eager to build on this momentum and continue expanding our reach to improve lives across Africa.”
