Finchglow Holidays, Nigeria’s popular name in the travel and tour sector, has announced its partnership with Ethiopian Airlines and Ethiopian Holidays to enhance travel access and tourism experiences between Nigeria and Ethiopia.
The development, which is a landmark move to redefine African travel, was disclosed in a statement issued by the Public Relations Manager for Finchglow Holdings, a parent body for Finchglow Holidays, Temilade Adu, on Monday.
According to the statement, the collaboration is designed to unlock a wide range of expertly curated tour packages for Nigerian travellers, highlighting Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage, dramatic landscapes, and vibrant cities.
According to the statement, a major highlight of the partnership is the inclusion of in-country visa facilitation, making travel to Ethiopia more accessible and seamless for Nigerian tourists.
Beyond convenience, the partnership is positioned to strengthen aviation and tourism links between both countries, boost trade, and deepen economic and cultural ties across borders.
Head of Business at Finchglow Holidays, Oluwaseun Afolabi, stated that the modern Nigerian traveller is increasingly seeking new and unique experiences outside the typical travel circuit.
He said. “Nigerians are now looking for hidden gems, moving away from the regular travel destinations, and Ethiopia offers some of the most captivating yet underexplored experiences on the continent. Through this partnership, we are not only opening doors to these hidden tourist treasures but also fostering deeper cultural exchange between Nigeria and Ethiopia.”
He emphasised that combining thoughtfully curated packages with simplified visa processing would eliminate common travel barriers and showcase Ethiopia’s tourism potential more effectively.
On her part, Area Manager for Ethiopian Airlines, Firiehiwot Mekonnen, reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to delivering immersive African travel experiences: “Nigeria is one of our most important markets in Africa, and this collaboration with Finchglow Holidays will further strengthen that relationship. Ethiopia is more than a stopover; it’s a destination worth discovering deeply. Mekonnen also confirmed the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding, one with Ethiopian Holidays to provide packages, excursions and flights, and another between Finchglow Holidays and Ethiopian authorities to streamline visa processes for Nigerian travellers.
