Maternal Health: FrieslandCampina’s Pledge

FrieslandCampina WAMCO, makers of Three Crowns Milk, has reaffirmed its commitment to improving maternal health and nutrition in Nigeria through its latest campaign, “Treasure That Nourishes Our World.”

The company made this known in a statement to mark the 2025 World Milk Day, celebrated every June 1.

Marketing Manager of Three Crowns, Chioma Igwe, said the campaign aims to reinforce the brand’s role in supporting mothers and their families with quality nutrition through online and offline engagements across major Nigerian cities.

“This year’s global theme, Let’s Celebrate the Power of Dairy, highlights dairy as an affordable, nutrient-rich food essential for balanced diets globally,” she said.

Igwe noted that the campaign was designed not only to promote dairy consumption but also to celebrate the strength and sacrifices of mothers, emphasising the need to prioritise their nourishment.

“When mothers are well-nourished with quality milk like Three Crowns, they are better equipped to care for their families and fulfil their many vital roles in society,” she said.

Brand Manager of Three Crowns Milk, Lilian Elue, said the campaign helped sustain brand awareness while deepening consumer engagement through nationwide activations, consumer rewards, and education on dairy nutrition.

“Our activations went beyond celebrating dairy. They recognised the dedication of Nigerian mothers and educated them on the nutritional support available through Three Crowns,” Elue said.

The firm said thousands of consumers were engaged during the campaign, which emphasised the importance of balanced nutrition and celebrated the vital role mothers play in the home.

World Milk Day was established by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations to promote the importance of milk as a global food source.
