Rack Centre appoints new CFO


Rack Centre, West Africa’s leading carrier and cloud-neutral data centre, has announced the appointment of Harold Bedu-Mensah as its new Chief Financial Officer.

In a Monday statement signed by Rack Centre’s Chief Executive Officer, Lars Johannisson, the company described the appointment as a strategic move to consolidate its growth trajectory.

The appointment became effective on December 16, 2024.

“We are delighted to welcome Harold to the Rack Centre team. His extensive experience and strategic mindset will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate. We are confident he will play a key role in driving our financial success and achieving our long-term goals,” Johannisson said.

Reacting to his appointment, Bedu-Mensah expressed enthusiasm about joining the company.

“I am honored to join Rack Centre at such an exciting time in its journey. The company’s reputation for innovation, reliability, and sustainability is unparalleled in West Africa. I look forward to contributing to its continued success as we support Rack Centre’s vision of powering Africa’s digital transformation.”

Bedu-Mensah brings 24 years of experience spanning telecommunications, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and healthcare.

Before joining Rack Centre, he served as Head of FP&A and Strategy at Vodafone Ghana, where he oversaw financial operations, transformation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.

His previous roles include a 12-year tenure at Millicom, where he rose to Corporate Finance Manager, contributing to the company’s international growth in Luxembourg, the US, London, and Ghana.

Bedu-Mensah holds a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University, an International Certificate in Corporate Finance from Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Valley View University in Ghana.
