Wizkid’s New Single ‘Kese’ Breaks Record On Spotify


Nigerian music superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has broken the record for the biggest opening day streams on Spotify Nigeria.

Wizkid’s collaborative R&B hit with American star, Brent Faiyaz ‘Piece Of My Heart’ previously held the record with 1.016 million Nigerian Spotify streams in a day.

But his latest single ‘Kese’ (Dance) had now broken the record after receiving 1.57 million streams on Spotify Nigeria.

The song also broke the record for the biggest opening day streams for an African song on global Spotify with 2.753 million streams.

‘Kese’ is one of the lead singles of Wizkid’s highly anticipated upcoming album, ‘Morayo,’ which is scheduled to drop later this month.

The singer said the album is dedicated to his late mom, Mrs Morayo Jane Balogun.
