Women in Management, Business and Public Service have called on women to own their path while nurturing the next generation of leaders, as it unveiled the theme for its 24th annual conference.
In a statement on Wednesday, the non-profit organisation announced the theme for its 24th Annual Conference: ‘O.W.N – Own. Walk. Nurture.’
WIMBIZ is an NGO dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to attain leadership roles. Its annual conference, scheduled for November, brings together thousands of women leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, policymakers, and visionaries from across Africa and the globe.
Speaking on the theme of the conference, the Executive Director, Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, said that ‘O.W.N – Own. Walk. Nurture’ reflected WIMBIZ’s commitment to inspiring women to take ownership of their journeys, walk with purpose and authenticity, and nurture the next generation of leaders.
Akingbohungbe confirmed that over the two-day event, attendees can expect thought-provoking keynote speeches, engaging panel sessions, networking opportunities, inspiring conversations and entertainment that will empower women to lead boldly and create impact across sectors.
She said, “At WIMBIZ, we believe that women have the power to shape economies, societies, and futures. This year’s theme, ‘O.W.N.’, is a clarion call for women to embrace their power, walk their path with courage, and nurture others along the way. It is about building legacy, influence, and a lasting community.”
