‘Why I Don’t Relate With People,’ Dede Opens Up

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Dede has revealed her struggle with social anxiety, shedding light on why she has kept her distance from other housemates.

LEADERSHIP recalls that housemate Kulture had once told Biggie during his diary session that Dede behaves like someone who does not use the toilet because of her awkward relationship with other housemates.

Dede, who has been criticised for being emotionally distant and refusing to hug male housemates, made the disclosure during a conversation with Koyin, a fellow housemate.

“Do you have social anxiety?” she asked Koyin, who replied, “No, do you?”

Dede responded, “Yes, I do.”

Koyin, 21, reassured her not to worry about coming across as socially awkward, noting that “such is life.”

This isn’t the first time Dede has spoken about her struggle to connect with people.

During her first diary session with Biggie, she described herself as an introvert who “doesn’t like people” and explained her reluctance to hug others, saying she did not know them before entering the house.
