A popular lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju, has confirmed the arrest of rapper Speed Darlington, who was reportedly missing since Friday.

Adeyanju disclosed that the rapper was arrested in Lagos and transferred to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Speaking in a series of posts on his X handle on Tuesday, the lawyer who did not give details, claimed that the arrest was based on a formal complaint from singer Burna Boy.

He wrote, “We just spent the last 30mins with Speed Darlington and he narrated how he was arrested in Lagos on Friday last week, moved around and eventually brought to Abuja. The petition against him was written by Burna Boy we can confirm.”

The development comes a few hours after Speed Darlington’s mother accused Burna Boy and his team of being responsible for her son’s disappearance.

Darlington had earlier in a video on social media questioned the authenticity of Burna Boy’s Grammy award. Linking Burna Boy with the embattled American singer Diddy.
