Verve and Google Play partner for VerveLife 8.0 fitness even

Africa’s leading homegrown payment card brand, Verve, has unveiled a lineup of partners for the eighth edition of VerveLife, Africa’s biggest fitness party, set to hold on November 1 at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Lagos.

The event, which has become a fixture in Africa’s fitness and lifestyle calendar, promises an even more dynamic experience this year, powered by an array of high-profile partners, including Google Play, the co-headline sponsor, alongside Interswitch, Quickteller, Carloha Chery, Hygeia HMO, Pocari Sweat, and Reelfruit, according to a statement.

The inclusion of Google Play as a co-headline sponsor introduces a powerful digital lifestyle component to VerveLife 8.0. Through its ecosystem of apps and entertainment platforms, Google Play will help participants seamlessly blend fitness, wellness, and fun into their daily routines, emphasising that healthy living can also be exciting and tech-driven.

Carloha Chery’s participation adds a luxury mobility edge to the experience, giving attendees an opportunity to engage with the Chery brand, renowned for its blend of innovation, technology, and modern design.

Meanwhile, Quickteller, Interswitch’s leading consumer payments platform, will ensure smooth, secure, and cashless transactions across the event, reinforcing VerveLife’s tradition of innovation and convenience.

In the spirit of holistic wellness, Hygeia HMO joins as the official health and wellness partner, offering participants on-site health checks, preventive care advice, and access to wellness resources. These initiatives are designed to empower attendees to sustain their health goals long after the event ends.

Complementing this are Reelfruit, Nigeria’s premium dried fruit snack brand, which will keep participants energised with nutrient-rich snacks, and Pocari Sweat, the popular Japanese isotonic drink, ensuring hydration and energy replenishment throughout the day’s intense workout sessions.

Speaking on the partnerships, Divisional Head, Brands, Communications, Content, and CSR at Interswitch Group, Tomi Ogunlesi, described VerveLife as more than a fitness event, but a holistic lifestyle movement.

“Over the years, VerveLife has grown into much more than a fitness event; it’s a lifestyle movement,” Ogunlesi said. “We are thrilled to welcome Google Play, Carloha Chery, Hygeia HMO, and Reelfruit as partners for VerveLife 8.0. Their collaboration aligns perfectly with our vision of blending wellness, lifestyle, and technology. This year’s edition will deliver an experience that transcends fitness to enrich every aspect of everyday life.”

VerveLife 8.0 will retain its signature mix of high-energy workout sessions, wellness masterclasses, health conversations, and an electrifying afterparty, but with expanded lifestyle integrations through its diverse partner ecosystem. Each partner brand will contribute unique experiences to enhance the participant journey.

Now in its eighth year, VerveLife has evolved into one of Africa’s most anticipated fitness and lifestyle events, attracting thousands of fitness enthusiasts, wellness advocates, and lifestyle brands in a vibrant celebration of health, culture, and community.
