United Capital’s Profit Soars to N11.89bn in H1 2025


United Capital Plc has reported a half-year profit after tax of N11.89bn for H1 2025, marking a 522 per cent increase from H1 2020, reinforcing a five-year growth streak.

Its H1’2025 revenue has also grown significantly, rising to N23.76bn from N4.45bn in H1’2020.

According to a statement following its investor call, the Pan-African investment bank and financial services group disclosed a revenue appreciation to N23.76bn as of H1’2025, marking a 57 per cent year-on-year rise.

The group’s profit before tax rose 52 per cent to N13.79bn. Shareholders’ Funds also rose 25 per cent to N166.91bn, indicating investor confidence in the group’s long-term outlook. Following this performance, United Capital has declared an interim dividend of N5.4bn at N0.30 per 50 kobo ordinary share.

During the Group’s Investor Call, Group Chief Executive Officer of United Capital Plc, Mr Peter Ashade, commented on this performance, saying, “We are pleased to report that we ended the first half of the year on a strong and positive note.

Once again, we have continued our track record of excellence and strong financial performance, which reflects the strength of our diversified business model.”

He added, “Last year, we made history by declaring our first-ever interim dividend, alongside a 2-for-1 bonus issue, which was met with great enthusiasm by our shareholders. This year, we continue to honour our commitment by declaring another interim dividend of N5.4bn, reinforcing our dedication to delivering sustainable returns and enhancing shareholder value.”

Following its recent expansion into Francophone West Africa, the Group continues to execute its Pan-African strategy with precision.
