Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, led a high-level engagement at the Kaduna Electric Franchise Energy Summit in London, advancing the state’s drive for sustainable power and economic growth.
In a statement, the Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, said the summit was a key step in the governor’s broader agenda of industrialisation, investment attraction, and shared prosperity, with reliable energy positioned as a critical enabler.
He said: “Uba Sani’s participation reflects Kaduna State’s commitment to strategic partnerships and regional collaboration to expand energy access and accelerate development.”
At the summit, Sani joined his Zamfara and Kebbi counterparts to promote regional cooperation, while engaging investors and stakeholders on scalable energy solutions.
A major highlight was the signing of a MoU with ASI Engineering Limited to drive power sector reform and infrastructure expansion.
The statement reads: “Kaduna State will invest N15 billion for a 5.54 per cent equity stake in the company, translating to an indirect 4.13 percent stake in Kaduna Electric.
“This investment is a deliberate step to secure Kaduna’s energy future, power industrial growth, and improve livelihoods.”
