Tottenham Hotspur have officially named Roberto De Zerbi as their new head coach, marking another managerial change for the North London club.
The Premier League side confirmed the Italian’s appointment in a statement released on Tuesday, March 31, noting that the move remains subject to the approval of a work permit.
De Zerbi takes over less than two days after Tottenham dismissed Igor Tudor, whose brief spell in charge saw the team win only once in seven matches.
His departure adds to a turbulent period for the club, which has seen multiple managerial changes in recent months.

This latest appointment makes De Zerbi the fourth manager to take charge of Tottenham within the past nine months. The instability began following the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou in June 2025, shortly after he guided the team to Europa League success.
Postecoglou was succeeded by Thomas Frank, whose tenure ended in February after a poor run of results left the club struggling near the bottom of the table. During his time in charge, Tottenham managed just two wins in 17 league outings.
Tudor was then appointed in an attempt to steady the team, but continued poor performances led to his exit after only 44 days at the helm.
Tottenham now find themselves in serious danger of relegation, sitting 17th in the standings and just a single point above the drop zone.
De Zerbi returns to the Premier League after previously managing Brighton, where he enjoyed notable success. In his first season, he led the club to their highest-ever league finish and secured qualification for European competition for the first time in their history.
Before rejoining English football, the Italian had been in charge of Olympique Marseille.
