Tinubu’s Overwhelming Votes In Kano Signal Strong Momentum

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has said that the overwhelming victory recorded by President Bola Tinubu in the just-concluded APC primary election shows his real victory in the 2027 election.

He noted that the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf served as the Collation Officer for Kano State to witness the collation process.

Senator Barau said, “After participating in the presidential primary election in my ward in Kabo Local Government Area of Kano North Senatorial District, I proceeded to the Kano State Government House for the official collation of results.

“In a peaceful, transparent, and orderly atmosphere, the returning officers from all 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State took turns presenting the results from their respective areas, earning the admiration and confidence of everyone present.

The senator hints that the successful conduct of the exercise, witnessed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano, Ambassador Abdu Zango and heads of security agencies, clearly demonstrates the popularity, acceptance, and strong support enjoyed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across the 44 LGAs of our dear state, Kano.

The Collation Officer, Engr Abba, declared President Tinubu the winner of the Presidential Primary of the APC in Kano, having polled 500,852, while his lone challenger, Mr Osifo Osayamen Stanley, garnered 2,675 votes.

“As I stated earlier, the outcome of this presidential primary election is a clear indication of what to expect in the January 16 Presidential Election. Landslide victory for APC from top to bottom.

“By the grace of God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I, Governor Abba and all other candidates of our party will emerge victorious at the poll. He congratulated President Tinubu on the landslide victory at the Presidential Primary of the party.

Meanwhile, before the collation, the Chairman of the Congress Committee for the governorship primary from the national headquarters of the APC, Barrister Mukhtar Shagari, presented a certificate of affirmation to Governor Abba as the candidate of the APC for the governorship election in Kano State ahead of the 2027 general election.
