President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary congress in Adamawa State after the collation of results from the 21 local government areas of the state.
Announcing the results, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri who served as the State Returning Officer for the exercise conducted under the supervision of the APC National Working Committee said the exercise was hitch free.
Governor Fintiri said the exercise was peacefully and successfully conducted across the twenty one local government areas of the state with the active participation of party officials and stakeholders.
According to the final results declared by Governor Fintiri, President Tinubu polled 644,149 votes to defeat Osifo Stanley, who secured 195,049 votes.
The Returning Officer further explained that the figures were collated from all 21 local government areas after party officials completed the primary process across the state.
He stated that the results represented the true outcome of the APC presidential primary congress in Adamawa State and subsequently declared President Tinubu the winner of the exercise.
