The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev has assured that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty. The minister stated this while presenting letters of employment to additional five Benue youths into the Federal Civil Service.
Professor Utsev advised the beneficiaries to be efficient, dedicated and committed to their jobs to justify the opportunity given to them. The minister who reminded them that as federal civil servants, they must be ready to work in any part of the country they are posted to,
assured Benue youths of his determination to facilitate more employments for them in addition to his empowerment programmes for youths and women, especially widows and vulnerable groups, to enable them become self-reliant.
Prof. Utsev said the current administration is committed to lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty through youths and women empowerment programmes which are already impacting positively on the lives of citizens.
He restated his call on citizens to continue to pray and support President Tinubu, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and himself to enable them continue to offer selfless services to the nation.
Responding on behalf of the new employees, Donatus Manger thanked Prof. Utsev for securing job opportunities for them, noting that the gesture would turn around their fortunes, and prayed to God to continue to bless and protect the Minister to extend his youth empowerment to others.
The Minister’s Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity, Terhemen Oraduen, in a statement made available to Saturday Telegraph in Makurdi said with this, Prof. Utsev has so far secured employment for 105 Benue youths into the Federal Civil Service and paramilitary agencies since he assumed office as Honourable Minister about two and half years ago.
