President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to remain united and hopeful despite ongoing economic and security challenges.

“To Christians in Nigeria and around the world, the Easter season reminds us of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the redemptive power of salvation for humanity.

This season also reminds us of the significance of Easter and the message it embodies, of sacrifice, resilience, and the triumph of light over darkness,” he said.

Tinubu acknowledged the security challenges facing parts of the country, despite the efforts of the Armed Forces and security agencies.

He, however, reassured citizens that his administration is intensifying efforts by providing necessary resources and strengthening foreign partnerships to combat terrorism and banditry.

The President also referenced his recent visit to Plateau State, where he commiserated with victims of violence and received assurances from security chiefs on ongoing efforts to restore peace.

He called on Nigerians to support lawful efforts to maintain peace, urging citizens to remain vigilant and reject actions that threaten national unity and stability.

On the economy, Tinubu said ongoing reforms, though difficult, are necessary steps toward achieving long-term shared prosperity, stressing that meaningful transformation often requires sacrifice.

“As the country gradually approaches another electoral cycle, the President emphasized the need for political actors and citizens to uphold democratic values, respect the Electoral Act, and prioritize peace and national interest.

“As the nation gradually approaches another electoral cycle, this season also serves as a call to civic duty and maturity. The Electoral Act must guide the conduct of our political parties and political actors. Let our choices be guided by a shared commitment to peace, continuity, stability, and the long-term good of our country,” he noted.

President Tinubu expressed confidence that the country is on the path to recovery, adding that “a new dawn is on the horizon.”
