In a statement made available on Tuesday, Mr Akano was honoured by the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian Federal Universities, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Rotary International, the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University, and the Osun State Government.

A renowned thought leader and pan-African advocate, Akano’s engagements over the past few weeks saw him deliver keynote lectures and training sessions that addressed institutional development, leadership, and the strategic role of technology in empowering Africa’s youth.

At the 38th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Ikeja South, where he delivered a keynote titled ‘Empowering the Next Generation: A Path to Youth Success’, Akano was presented with an award of appreciation for what the organisers described as an inspiring and practical message on skill acquisition and visionary leadership.

Similarly, the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian Federal Universities recognised his contribution to its Knowledge Sharing Programme.

Akano delivered a lecture on ‘Exploring Institutional Growth Opportunities Through Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence’, which was lauded for sparking renewed insight among university leaders.

In another recognition, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations conferred upon him the prestigious title of Fellow, acknowledging his consistent contribution to public communication, leadership, and policy discourse.

Akano also participated in the Governing Council and Management Retreat of Obafemi Awolowo University, where he presented a paper on leveraging data and artificial intelligence for institutional development.

Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire, presented him with an Award of Excellence, commending his long-standing support for the institution.

Crowning the series of recognitions, Akano was appointed Osun State Youth Empowerment Ambassador by the Ministry of Youth Development during a ceremony held in Osogbo on the same day as his OAU engagement.
