Tech firm unveils AI kitchen app to streamline gas supply

Kike Technologies has launched “Kike Ai”, an artificial intelligence-powered kitchen application aimed at optimising gas supply, enhancing consumer convenience, and driving job creation in Nigeria’s food and gas industries.

Unveiled in Lagos recently, the app predicts when a user’s cooking gas supply is running low, enabling timely refills and reducing the inconvenience of sudden depletion.

Beyond gas management, Kike Ai serves as a digital marketplace, connecting gas stations with customers, optimising inventory, and facilitating online transactions.

“Kike Ai tackles a prevalent household issue by ensuring gas users never run out unexpectedly,” said Chief Executive of Kike Technologies Femi Oye in a statement on Wednesday. “It also fosters economic development by creating job opportunities in delivery, logistics, and gas retail.”

The company projects that the app’s expansion will generate substantial employment, particularly in logistics and gas retail, while boosting efficiency in supply chain management.

The AI-driven platform enhances demand forecasting, allowing gas marketers to optimise inventory and reduce shortages.

“With real-time data insights, business operators can make informed decisions, improve performance, and build trust with customers,” Oye added.

As soaring gas prices strain household budgets, Kike Ai is also positioned as a tool for managing gas consumption and enhancing food safety.

Also, the app integrates hygiene practices and regulatory compliance features while offering personalised cooking experiences through instructional videos and a vast recipe library.

Our goal is to reach 100 million Nigerian families in the next five years,” Oye said. “By leveraging AI, we aim to create a poverty-free world where technology improves livelihoods and promotes sustainable development.”
