Stanbic IBTC Pension announces digital channel downtime

Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited has announced the early closure of some branches and a temporary disruption of its digital services due to a planned system maintenance exercise.

The company disclosed in an E-mail sent to its customers on Wednesday that affected branches would close by noon, December 6, while its contact centre would remain unavailable until 9:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

The company stated that the Opebi branch, located at 47 Opebi Road, Opebi, Ikeja, and the Yaba branch, situated at 360 Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba, would both close early.

Also affected are the Adetokunbo Ademola branch at 76 Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, and the Walter Carrington Service Centre on Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island.

Additionally, the Lekki Free-trade Zone branch, located beside Dangote Refinery, Ibeju-Lekki, and the Alausa Service Centre at 3 Ashabi Cole Street, Agidingbi, Ikeja, were among those affected.

The company noted that the system maintenance, which would run from midnight to 8:00 am on December 7, 2024, would disrupt access to retirement savings accounts via the company’s digital channels.

Stanbic IBTC has advised customers to plan their transactions to minimise inconvenience.

In a statement addressed to its customers, the company said, “We wish to inform you that the attached list of branches will be closed to customers by noon on Friday, 06 December 2024. Additionally, our Contact Center will be unavailable until 9:00 am on Saturday, 07 December 2024.

“Normal business activities across our branches will resume on Monday, 09 December 2024.”

Expressing appreciation for customer understanding during the downtime, Stanbic IBTC stated, “We sincerely appreciate your understanding and thank you for your continued patronage.”
