Sokoto CP Deploys Security, Urges Officers To Be Public-Friendly


Sokoto State Commissioner of Police (CP) Hayatu Hassan Shaffa, has deployed the Command’s operational assets for this year’s Easter celebration.

According to DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, PPRO, Sokoto Command, necessary security measures are in place to ensure public order, safety, and security.

It noted that security personnel have been strategically deployed to places of worship, event centres, highways, recreational spots, and other public places.

Also, tactical and patrol teams are positioned across the state to prevent and detect crime, respond to distress calls, and address security concerns.

CP Shaffa has directed officers to intensify visibility policing, sustain intelligence-led operations, and remain alert throughout the festive period.

He also urged officers to be professional, courteous, and public-friendly.

The Command urges residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the emergency number: 08032861946.

The Command wishes all Christian faithful a peaceful and happy Easter celebration.
