Sokoto Command Organises Medical Outreach, Environmental Sanitation


The Sokoto State Police Command will on Monday, March 30, organise environmental sanitation as part of the activities lined up for this year’s commemoration of the 2026 National Police Day celebration, with the theme, Community Partnership; Building Trust.

Similarly, the Police Medical Service of the Command will also carry out medical outreach at Gagi District, as well as other persons who could be available for medical attention on the same day from 10 am-5 pm.

A statement issued by DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, Police PRO Sokoto State Command, further stated that other activities include a Walkathon by Police personnel on Tuesday, 31st March 2026, from the Command headquarters to Gidan man ada roundabout.

It further stated that on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, there will be public sensitisation on electoral offences and a safe driving approach at the Central Motor park.

On Thursday, 2nd April 2026, the Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command, CP Hayatu Hassan Shaffa, will present welfare cheques to beneficiaries and families of deceased Police personnel in the Command in honour of the personnel who lost their lives in active duty.

The celebration will be concluded with a grand finale, featuring a ceremonial parade at Eagle Square, Abuja, on Tuesday, 7th April 2026.

The Commissioner of Police urges members of the public to actively participate and cooperate with the Police during these activities, in line with the theme of this year’s celebration, “Community Partnership; Building Trust”, which means “together we can fight crime”.
