SMOOV Chapman rebrands – Punch Newspapers

The La Casera Company PLC has announced it unveiled a new look for the SMOOV Chapman brand introduced into the Nigerian market in Sep 2014 in a 50cl SKU but was later made available in 35cl and 60cl SKUs.

Whilst unveiling the new look of the brand tagged “Fresh Label…Same Original Taste…SMOOVIT” at the TLCC office recently in Lagos, the Managing Director, Mr Chinedum Okereke, told the audience, “The La Casera Company is excited to introduce our refreshed SMOOV Chapman Label, which is a testament to our commitment to innovation, commitment, and sustainability.”

Okereke mentioned that in the company’s bid to continue satisfying customers’ needs, we engaged one of the best label research agencies to determine what our esteemed consumers want for a label. The result is what we are about to unveil. He also stated that the SMOOV Chapman brand was added to the TLCC portfolio to tackle the increasing demand for consumers’ choice of flavours.

The Commercial Director, Mr Vishal Kaveti, said, “We have a new colourful and artistic label that speaks to all our key target audience, cutting across all social economic groups, gender and age, but be assured that the taste and quality are same.”

He added that the new label is set to be rolled out, and consumers can expect to see the new design in stores close to them.

The fresh label showcases vibrant imagery and reflects the brand’s dedication to keeping up with contemporary trends and providing a premium Chapman experience. With this label refresh, the brand wants to create packaging that visually communicates the excitement and quality inside every bottle. Taking feedback and listening to customers, the brand believes this new look perfectly complements the refreshing taste they love.

On her part, the Senior Brand Manager, Carbonated Soft Drinks Category, Julleanne Oriakhi, said, “In working on the design, we ensured clarity in visuals, information on label, attractiveness, distinctiveness within the Chapman CSD category whilst ensuring all regulatory standards and approvals are met.”

Oriakhi further explained that SMOOV Chapman wishes to drive for a new look for the brand, one that embodies all attributes of the brand and that will deliver on its positioning (celebratory for all occasions) and innovativeness while exuding the brand’s core essence of poise, chill, and sociability.

She added that the new label design features bolder colours and pays homage to SMOOV Chapman’s heritage while embracing a contemporary aesthetic.
