Silverbird rewards World of Records winners


Silverbird Group has announced the winners of its food-eating competition under Silverbird’s World of Records, an initiative spotlighting individuals’ talent.

The company noted in a statement that the contestants of its SWORD Food Battle held recently in Lagos, “displayed exceptional endurance and skill, with the winners emerging as a testament to Nigerian grit and resilience.”

According to the organisers, contestant Abia Chukwuebuka came top in the competition and won a cash prize of N500,000, having consumed 17 kg of food provided.

The first runner-up, Victoria Okoli, consumed 16.2 kg and was rewarded with N300,000, while the second runner-up, Daniel Sule, consumed 15.6 kg of food and won N200,000.

Silverbird Group Head of Digital Media, Olorunfemi Joshua, hailed the competition, remarking, “As a nation with abundant talent, Silverbird is proud to provide a platform where Nigerians can shine. We are not just creating records; we are building legacies and showcasing them on the global media stage.”

The brand recognised its official partner, Cimple Foods, for providing the African dishes used in the competition and feeding hundreds of attendees.

It added, “This collaboration highlights Silverbird’s commitment to celebrating local talent while fostering community engagement.”
