Shettima, others for Zenith Bank tech fair


The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State are set to speak at the fourth edition of the Zenith Bank annual tech fair scheduled to be held in Lagos this week.

In a statement on Monday, the bank said that the fair hosted under the theme, ‘Future Forward 4.0: Embedded Finance, Cybersecurity & Growth Imperatives – The Impact of AI,’ will showcase leading technological innovations that cut across artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, financial intelligence, cloud computing, and communication technologies, among others.

The event will also feature a Start-up Pitch Competition – Zecathon – to identify innovative startups, panel discussions, masterclasses, and exhibitions.

While the opening remarks will be delivered by the founder and chairman of Zenith Bank, Jim Ovia and a welcome address by Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Adaora Umeoji, The VP and the governor of Lagos State are expected to deliver goodwill messages.

The keynote address for the event will be Strategy & Digital Implementation Specialist, Robin Speculand, on the topic,‘Banking Transformation in a Digital World.’

Other prominent IT practitioners expected at the fair include Global Expert in Digital Transformation & AI, Danillo McGarry; Partner, Africa, AI & Data, Deloitte, Jania Okwechime, and Director, Microsoft Worldwide Financial Services, Rupert Nicolay, among others.

Other aspects of the tech fair will feature a panel discussion to be moderated by the Client Technology Lead for Microsoft Inc; Wole Odeyele and masterclasses.
