Seyi Vibez Inks Deal With EMPIRE, Drops New Single ‘Pressure’

Nigerian music sensation Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, widely known as Seyi Vibez, has officially signed a partnership agreement with global music label EMPIRE.

The announcement came through an official statement, in which Seyi Vibez described “Pressure” as a smooth and emotionally charged departure from his typical street-style sound.

“It leans into melody, intimacy, and raw emotion. It’s smoother, softer, and more intentional,” Seyi Vibez explained. “Sometimes the loudest statement is how you move when no one’s watching. That’s real pressure.”

The 24-year-old artist gained widespread recognition in 2022 with his debut album “Billion Dollar Baby”, which showcased a fusion of Afro-street sounds and heartfelt lyrics inspired by the vibrant rhythms of his Lagos neighborhood.

Since then, Seyi has become one of Nigeria’s most streamed artistes globally.

His February 2024 EP “Children of Africa” saw all four tracks debut on the U.S. Billboard
Speaking on the new deal, EMPIRE’s West Africa Regional Head, Mobolaji Kareem, praised Seyi’s talent and market potential.

“We are happy to partner with Seyi Vibez, an artist whose vocal dexterity and versatility truly stand out,” he said. “We look forward to helping his continued growth as a global artist.”
Seyi Vibez also reflected on his journey and cultural identity.

“I’m stepping into this new chapter with the spirit of my ancestors. I carry the energy of Orisa: the guardian, the protector, the voice of the city ”he told Billboard.
