Segilola Champions Ethical Gemstone Sourcing at 2025 Lagos S

Segilola Resources Operating Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to championing ethical sourcing, following its confirmation as a sponsor of the Gold and Gemstone Conference and Exhibition 2025, scheduled to be held in Lagos from November 24 to 28, 2025.

The organisers said Segilola’s backing reflects its strategic vision to support responsible mining, ethical sourcing, and sustainable development across Africa’s gold and gemstone value chain.

President of Women in Mining Nigeria, Janet Adeyemi, who spoke on behalf of the GGCE team, said the company’s involvement reinforces the conference’s mission of promoting inclusivity and high standards.

“We are honoured to welcome Segilola on board as a sponsor of GGCE 2025. Their support reinforces our mission to drive inclusive growth, gender equity, and high standards in Africa’s gold and gemstone sectors,” Adeyemi said.

Country Manager of Segilola, Austin Manegbo, stated that the partnership underlines the company’s alignment with industry-wide sustainable practices.

“Our participation in GGCE 2025 reflects Segilola’s commitment to sustainable development across Nigeria’s natural resource industries.

We look forward to engaging with stakeholders who are shaping the future of ethical mining and gem trade,” Manegbo said.

The organisers added that GGCE 2025 would focus on artisanal miners, jewellery SMEs, export readiness, investor integration, and broader value chain development to support both grassroots and commercial stakeholders.
