Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy technology, has appointed Steven Santini as Vice President of Secure Power for Sub-Saharan Africa, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Secure Power division, which provides the digital resilience and intelligent operational technologies that safeguard critical infrastructure, plays a pivotal role in supporting modern data centres, distributed IT, and industrial applications across the region.
Santini brings over 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, channel leadership, and strategic alliances. Born and raised in South Africa, he returns with deep expertise in compute, storage, and software-defined solutions. Since joining Schneider Electric UK&I in 2018, he has served as IT Channel Director, transforming the business from hardware sales to a solutions-led organisation.
In his new role, Santini will focus on strengthening the Secure Power ecosystem across Sub-Saharan Africa by building trusted partnerships and driving outcome-based solutions for customers and partners.
“I strongly believe we should not be selling products; we should be delivering outcomes,” Santini said. “When we understand the full technology stack and the workloads our customers are running, the conversation shifts from racks and power distribution units to business performance, resilience, and sustainability. That is where real value lies.”
He also emphasised the importance of trust and relationships in the African market, noting that rebuilding and reinforcing partnerships is key to sustainable growth.
Santini and his team will lead the strategic direction of the division, supporting clients across data centres, edge environments, industrial applications, and critical infrastructure with resilient and sustainable solutions.
