Ruby Gyang Breaks Hiatus With New EP ‘Free’


After a s-year hiatus and almost a decade since she released her last EP (extended play), delectable soul singer, Ruby Gyang, is out with her new EP titled ‘Free’.

According to the lady, who hails from Plateau State and has been in the industry for almost a decade and half, the release of her last EP is her most personal and profound project yet.

The five songs in the EP include Real Love, Mama, So Much More, Fear and Free (the title).

“This journey has been marked by trials, but also triumphs. Despite life’s challenges, I’ve emerged stronger, more resilient, and more determined.

This project is a testament to my growth, a celebration of my power, and a reflection of all I’ve endured. I share it with you as a symbol of freedom, hoping you’ll find solace and inspiration in its words.

“I’m forever grateful to the incredible people who helped bring this project to life. Your talent, dedication, and support mean the world to me. My heart is full, and I’m honored to share this piece of myself with you. Get ready to experience the most authentic, raw, and uplifting music I’ve ever created”, she stated.

Ruby Gyang, an artistic visionary is a soul and R&B singer, songwriter, and live performer who leaves an indelible mark with every note.

Ruby moved to Lagos to pursue a full-time career as a musician and performer in 2010. Signed to Loopy Music founded by ace rapper MI in 2012, the vocal diva commenced releasing music.

In 2015, Ruby signed with Nigeria’s premier record company, “Chocolate City Music,” as a recording artist. Additionally, in 2018 she established and led a sub-label named “O Records,” in partnership with Chocolate City Music. O Records was devoted to revolutionizing African music,art, and culture.

Ruby had released an E.P ‘This is Love’ in 2016 and she has dropped other single like the hit song, ‘Kale Ni’, Oh Holy Night, Oya Dance and Crushing. But Ruby’s journey extends far beyond the world of music. She’s a dedicated activist, an entrepreneur, and a talent developer, nurturing the dreams of emerging artists.

 

Presently Ruby Gyang is the founder and CEO of RG Entertainment and Media Company Limited which serves as a Talent Development Company and other functions having also launched her foundation ‘The Ruby Gyang Foundation’ in 2024 which serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment for women, girls, and female creatives.
