A private digital bank, Bank78 MFB, has officially announced the commencement of its operations.
In a statement, the new entrant to the banking sector said its launch event, held in Lagos, was attended by top industry players, financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
The bank stated that while it is inspired by the private-banking culture and mindset, it is deliberately designed for the mass-affluent everyday Nigerian. Speaking at the launch event, Director at Bank78 MFB, EviOghene Osifo-Whiskey, explained that the company is on a mission to bridge the gap between fast fintechs and legacy banks, giving modern Nigerian achievers a secure, future-focused banking experience.
