Polo gets luxury brand recognition

A publication has recognised Polo as the Luxury Brand of the Decade for the retailer’s dominance in the luxury sector.

Marketing and advertising publication Marketing Edge, in a statement, said it recognised Polo for its commitment to excellence.

For over 30 years, Polo has been at the forefront of luxury retail in Nigeria, offering “an exclusive selection of the world’s most prestigious timepieces and fine jewellery”, the publication stated. The brand is also known for its exceptional after-sales service and expertise, setting the standard for premium retail in the country.

The publication also recognised Polo’s Managing Director, John Obayuwana, who received the Luxury Personality of the Decade award.

Marketing Edge said it honoured Obayuwana for his “visionary leadership and impact on the evolution of luxury in Nigeria and West Africa”.

The publication presented the awards at a ceremony held at Polo Towers in Lagos, which the company described as “more than a celebration—it was a validation of the passion, precision, and commitment that have defined Polo’s journey.”

Polo affirmed that it remains committed to “pushing boundaries and setting new standards” in the luxury space, ensuring its legacy continues to inspire the next generation of connoisseurs.
