Police nab four robbery suspects, recover stolen vehicle in Nasarawa


The Nasarawa State Police Command said its personnel have arrested four suspected armed robbers and recovered a stolen vehicle.

This was contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel.

According to the statement, the suspects, Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja, were arrested by operatives attached to the Mararaba A Division, while another suspect, Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, was nabbed in the New Karu area.

It said a fabricated rifle, a knife, and criminal charms were recovered during the first operation, while a blue Toyota Camry with registration number RBC 980 DA was recovered from Abubakar, a resident of the Mabushi area of Abuja, adding that the suspects have confessed to belonging to a gang of armed robbers terrorising the Mararaba area and its environs.

It said Commissioner of Police Umar Shehu Nadada has called on the owner of the stolen vehicle to visit the New Karu Area Command with proof of ownership to claim the recovered vehicle.
