Platform unveils engagement reward system

Social media platform Klouto has unveiled plans to reward users for their meaningful contributions and interactions online.

Klouto, founded by Chukwuemeka Osuofia, is set to launch on January 10, 2025.

In a statement, the company explained that Klouto departs from the traditional ad-driven social media model by rewarding users for their daily online engagement.

“Klouto allows users to earn money from meaningful contributions, fostering a community-driven environment for both content creators and everyday users,” the statement read.

Osuofia described Klouto as a space where users can monetise not only their content but also their thoughtful interactions. “Our goal is to empower users to earn while they interact, fostering a community that values genuine contributions,” he said.

The platform supports various types of content, including articles, videos, images, reviews, polls, educational guides, and thought leadership pieces.

According to Osuofia, this diversity will ensure that users share, learn, grow, and be rewarded for their participation.

Further, Klouto introduced the ‘Power Comments’ feature, which rewards users based on the engagement their comments generate.

The founder explained, “The more interaction a comment receives through likes, replies, or shares, the higher the user’s potential earnings.”

The company also noted that it would prohibit content that promotes illegal activities, hate speech, harassment, explicit material, or violence on its platform to ensure a positive user experience.

Osuofia emphasised that the platform prioritises safety and inclusivity to create a welcoming space for users from diverse backgrounds.

He added, “Klouto empowers its users to not only create and share content but also participate in conversations by leaving thoughtful and impactful comments. The platform encourages diverse participation, fostering a rich community of creators, commenters, and content consumers.”
