Oyebanji hails Promasidor’s investment in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, has commended Promasidor Nigeria for its investment in the state, describing the company as a strategic partner in its economic development.

According to a statement, Oyebanji made the remarks during a recent visit to Promasidor’s Lagos head office and factory, where he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening public-private partnerships for industrial growth, job creation, and sustainable development.

The governor hailed the Ikun Dairy Farm, a collaboration between the Ekiti State Government and Promasidor, as a model for economic transformation.

“We see Ikun Dairy Farm as our baby and Promasidor Nigeria as a strategic partner in our quest for economic growth and shared prosperity,” Oyebanji said.

“The success of this initiative brings us great joy, and our traditional leaders, including the Onikun of Ikun-Amure, Oba Olatunde David Olusola, have attested to its significant economic impact,” he added.

According to the governor, the project has spurred job creation, industrial expansion, and agricultural development.

Oyebanji assured Promasidor of his administration’s support for its expansion in Ekiti, pledging to create a more conducive business environment and reduce the company’s production costs.

The governor revealed that he had discussed a potential extension of the initiative with the Kwara State Government and that the matter was already before the Presidency.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown keen interest in agricultural development in Ekiti, and we are engaging with the Federal Government on expanding these opportunities,” Oyebanji remarked.

Promasidor Nigeria Managing Director François Gillet welcomed the governor’s visit, emphasising the company’s commitment to economic growth and local development.

“We are proud of the success we have achieved with our farm in Ekiti and the positive transformation it has brought to the local community,” Gillet stated. “This progress has been made possible through the strong support of Your Excellency and the Ekiti State Government.”

Promasidor and the Ekiti State Government added that their partnership aimed to expand industrial and agricultural production while increasing job creation and skills development for residents.
