Osun Guber Candidate, Farinloye Preaches Resilience

Osun State governorship candidate on the Action Alliance (AA), Lanre Farinloye, has called on residents of the state to embrace hope, unity, and compassion as Christians celebrate Easter.

In his Easter message, Farinloye celebrates Christian faithful and all residents in the state, saying the season represents sacrifice, renewal and hope.

He said, “To my Christian brothers and sisters across Osun State, and to every citizen hoping for a brighter tomorrow, I send my warmest greetings this Easter. This holy season reminds us that no matter how dark the times may seem, light will always overcome darkness. It speaks to the ultimate sacrifice and the enduring power of love, faith, and renewal.

He acknowledged the economic challenges facing many families in the state, stressing that the period is not only for celebration but also for reflection on the need to support one another.

“As we celebrate, my thoughts are deeply with our communities across Osun State. For many families, this period is marked not just by reflection but by real challenges, economic hardship, and the daily effort to make ends meet.

“Yet, Easter teaches us that hardship is not the end of the story. It calls us to resilience, to compassion, and to a shared responsibility to uplift one another and build a society where dignity and peace are not privileges, but realities for all.

“True progress as a state will depend entirely on our collective commitment to these principles of sacrifice and genuine care for the people.

Farinloye urged residents to remain resilient, show kindness, and stay committed to building a society based on dignity, peace, and shared responsibility.

“As you celebrate with your loved ones, I encourage you to hold firmly to hope and to continue extending kindness within your communities. May the peace, joy, and blessings of the risen Christ fill your homes, strengthen our state, and guide Osun into a new season of progress and renewal.
